Error message!

HELLO:

I just compiled zmailer-2.99.49p9 on a Solaris 2.5.1 system, and when I try to run zmailer I get this error message:

# /opt/mail/bin/zmailer 
/opt/mail/bin/zmailer: panic!! can't initialize from /etc/zmailer.conf

Even though the file exists and is of the correct format, or so I think.
Any hints ideas?
